Carpool Meeting Place: The Donner Historic Camp Site at Alder Creek. Take highway 89 North, about 2 1/2 miles north of I-80. On your right at the Donner Historic Camp Site. Meet, carpool, drive to Independence Lake, 9:00 am, returning to meeting place by 2:30 pm. 1/2 day outing
